IS YOUR TEACHER WORTHY OF THE FIRST EVER GOLDEN APPLE AWARD?

Is your child’s teacher great? Nominate them for the first ever Golden Apple Awards and they could win a holiday to South Africa worth over £7,500 … and you could win a year’s family pass to all the attractions in the Tussaud’s Group plus a year’s supply of Arniston Bay wine AND £100 of shopping at Somerfield all thanks to South African Golden Delicious Apples and Somerfield.

As the end of the school year passes, we all know, an inspiring teacher will have been worth their weight in gold to children of every age over the last year. What better way to reward them than with a special apple for teacher – in this case, a Golden Apple?
This summer sees the first ever Golden Apple Awards, sponsored by South African Golden Delicious apples, the sweetest Goldens you can buy, in association with Somerfield, to recognise the best teachers across the UK.

Nominations should come from pupils or their parents to recognise excellence in teaching. The awards are open to any UK teacher who teaches children to the age of 16. The best teacher in each region (North East, North West, Midlands, South East and South West) will also win a case of delicious Arniston Bay South African wine and a family day pass to a local theme park. Their nominator will win £25 of shopping at Somerfield.

To enter a teacher for the Golden Apple Award, simply send a 250 word submission on why they deserve to win the Golden Apple Award. Don’t forget to include the name of the teacher and what school they teach at! The entries will be judged by panel of judges, including a representative of Somerfield.

The closing date for entries is 18 September 2006. Entries should be sent to:
